BMKG Forecasts Light Rain in Jakarta on Saturday Afternoon

Some areas of Jakarta may experience light rain from Saturday afternoon through the evening, according to Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG).

At 7 a.m., West, Central, and South Jakarta, as well as the Thousand Islands, are expected to have cloudy skies. East Jakarta is forecast to be partly cloudy, while North Jakarta may experience overcast conditions.

By 10 a.m., the weather is expected to improve, with sunny conditions forecast across Jakarta’s five mainland administrative areas. The Thousand Islands are expected to remain partly cloudy.

At 1 p.m., clouds are expected to return. West, Central, and South Jakarta are forecast to be partly cloudy, while East and North Jakarta are likely to be cloudy. The Thousand Islands may experience overcast conditions.

Rain Expected From Afternoon to Night

Light rain is expected to begin in several areas of Jakarta at 4 p.m. West, Central, South, and East Jakarta are likely to experience rain, while North Jakarta is expected to remain mostly cloudy. The Thousand Islands are also forecast to remain cloudy.

By 7 p.m., rain is expected across Jakarta’s five mainland administrative areas, with light rain forecast in each area. The Thousand Islands are likely to remain cloudy.

At 10 p.m., rain may continue in East and North Jakarta, while the rest of the city is expected to be cloudy.
