BMKG: Light Rain Possible in Jakarta Today
The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has urged residents of Jakarta and its surrounding areas to remain cautious, as rainfall is expected on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
Based on BMKG’s 24-hour weather forecast, most areas of Jakarta and nearby regions will experience partly cloudy conditions from 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB). Light rain may occur in several areas, including the Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu) and Bekasi Regency.
As the day progresses until 1:00 p.m. WIB, weather conditions are expected to remain mostly cloudy, with light rain possibly falling in parts of Bogor Regency.
From the afternoon until late evening, around 7:00 p.m. WIB, light rain is forecast to affect most areas of Bogor Regency and Bogor City, as well as parts of East Jakarta, South Jakarta, Depok City, Tangerang Regency, South Tangerang City, and Bekasi Regency and City.
Humidity levels across the region are expected to range between 70 and 90 percent. Temperatures in the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) area are forecast to range from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius, while Bogor City and Regency will experience cooler temperatures between 18 and 28 degrees Celsius.
