Weekend whispers soft delight,
 The holiday nears — my heart feels light.
 Long I’ve waited for this day,
 To let my worries drift away.

By the shore, I breathe and smile,
 Grateful to God, I pause awhile.
 How lovely is this seaside hue,
 The waves, the sky — both calm and blue.

I soak in peace, I cherish the stay,
 And hope to return again someday.
