Clash of Champions

I am a third-semester student. I was delegated to join an intelligence competition called Clash of Champions. There were 100 participants in the competition.

In the first round, we had to answer math questions quickly. If no one answered within one minute, the question was forfeited. After the first round finished, 20 people were eliminated from the competition.

In the second round, we had to answer basic mathematical operations from a fast audio recording. We had to focus carefully on listening to the audio. In the beginning, no one answered correctly. After one hour, five people managed to answer correctly. At the end of the second round, 30 participants did not pass. Those who failed still had a chance to join a bonus round.

In the bonus round, participants had to answer general knowledge questions. In this round, 10 people passed and were allowed to join the third round.

In the third round, we could choose the challenge we wanted. There were four groups:

  • Memory Core: There were 10 sheets of paper that had to be memorized. After memorizing them, participants had to answer questions based on what they remembered.

  • Logic Anthem: In this game, participants had to analyze, detect, and complete patterns correctly. After finishing the patterns, they could answer logic questions displayed on the screen.

  • Fast Math: There were 100 questions consisting of algebra, calculus, and geometry to be solved.

  • Spatial Call: Participants had to solve several puzzles. After finishing one puzzle, they could move on to the next as quickly as possible.

Each game lasted 40 minutes. The 10 fastest participants in each game automatically qualified for the next round. After the games were announced, I chose the Fast Math challenge. It was very difficult. Fortunately, I managed to answer all the questions correctly.

Then, we moved on to the semifinal round. There were 40 participants in this round. The challenge was called Cyber Hack. We had to solve problems based on a story. It was more difficult and very challenging. The 10 fastest participants advanced to the final round.

In the grand final, we had to play a modified snakes and ladders game while fixing patterns on our screens. Every time we answered a question correctly, we could roll the dice and change our position. I won first place in the competition because I finished the game the fastest. Everyone was happy, and we celebrated the victory together.
