80 Years Old, My Country

Red means strength,
 White means purity.
 This year,
 My country turns eighty.
 How excited I am
 To celebrate Independence Day.

During the ceremony,
 We sing Indonesia Raya
 As the flag is raised high.
 Then, the Pancasila
 And the Proclamation are read.

My hope is simple :
 That all people may feel freedom,
 And live in lasting joy.
