Citilink Resumes Bandung Flights to Five Indonesian Cities
Indonesian airline Citilink has resumed domestic flights from Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung, West Java, to five major Indonesian cities, starting Monday, August 17, 2026.
Citilink President Director Darsito Hendroseputro said the move was part of the airline’s efforts to improve connectivity across Indonesia and tap into market opportunities for flights to and from Bandung.
“Operating flights from Bandung also demonstrates Citilink’s efforts to improve the performance of the Garuda Indonesia Group by strengthening its flight network and remaining relevant to the public,” Darsito said in a written statement from Tangerang on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, as reported by Antara.
Darsito said the five routes connect Bandung with Medan, Denpasar, Surabaya, Palembang, and Balikpapan, with return flights also available on each route.
Starting August 18, Citilink will operate flights between Bandung and Palembang, as well as between Bandung and Balikpapan.
“The return of flights from Bandung is expected to facilitate mobility and support growth in tourism, business, and the economy in West Java and other regions,” he said.
Darsito said the daily flights from Bandung to Medan, Denpasar, Surabaya, Palembang, and Balikpapan would be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft.
He said the five routes were aimed at meeting the travel needs of people across different regions of Indonesia by providing improved connectivity and easier, more efficient, and more comfortable travel options.
Darsito added that, together with the Garuda Indonesia Group, Citilink would continue to support the government’s efforts to improve air connectivity across the country, facilitate travel between regions, and provide flights that prioritize safety, security, and punctuality.
